You know that you wanted to become a nurse because you love caring for others, but there’s more to it than that. Choosing a nursing specialty isn’t always easy, as there are several to consider.
Think back to your experiences in the field, and think about which environments and situations you most enjoyed. That should give you some clarity about the direction you should take.
Don’t pursue one specialty strictly to earn more, or to open up more job opportunities. Be true to yourself and be honest about what you really want to do in the field.
Having a nursing job that you love will be far more fulfilling than simply earning a bigger paycheck.
