Before applying for new job opportunities, it’s a good idea to review your resume. One of the first things to do is to write a brief cover letter.
A strong cover letter will grab the attention of potential employers, and will give them a positive first impression about you as a nursing job candidate.
Rather than summarizing your education and experience, focus instead on showing a bit of your personality and describing who you are. Describe your passion for nursing, and why you were drawn to the field. Personalize the letter to address the individual who will be reviewing it, or skip an address altogether, if you don’t know. Finally, keep your cover letter brief and concise.
