Working while pregnant can become challenging for anyone, but nurses may find it especially hard. Early symptoms like fatigue and nausea can make it tough to be on the job. Later in pregnancy, the physical duties of the job can pose a challenge.
Always stay hydrated and try to get rest when you can. Put your feet up when you have the opportunity to sit down. Take plenty of bathroom breaks. Pack small snacks to have throughout your shift. Don’t be shy about asking for help from coworkers.
It’s always best to seek help than to risk your physical health on the job.
