Many new nurses enter the field thinking that they know everything they need to know.
This is a mistake because one of the greatest resources of knowledge we can learn from are experienced nurses. If you find yourself being offered insight and suggestions by a more senior nurse, don’t take it as an insult to your knowledge and skills.
Look at it as a valuable opportunity to gain insight from someone with many more years of hands-on experience.
When we open ourselves up to others, we can learn and gain so much more and we can become better nurses in the process.
