As a busy nurse, body language may not be something that you give much thought to as you’re going about doing your job. However, it is important to have an awareness of your body language and how it may be impacting your patients.

If you project a sense of calmness and control, patients can feel more relaxed and at ease. When you’re under pressure and feeling stressed, it can be reflected in the way you move. Try to convey confidence and remain positive, even in tough situations.

This will make patients feel more at ease, which can make difficult circumstances more bearable for you both.
