Getting sick stinks, but it can be especially tough on a nurse. After all, you’re used to being the caregiver, not the patient. When you come down with an illness, you need to rest and recuperate so that you can be back on your feet as soon as possible. Take advantage of the downtime by taking it easy.
Let loved ones wait on you, and try to be comfortable in the role of patient. Don’t over exert yourself. With a compromised immune system, you could pick up something more easily. Listen to your body, and don’t go back to work until you’re sure that you’re better.
