Many certified nursing assistants, or CNAs, aspire to advance in their careers and become a registered nurse, or RN. If you’re ready to make the transition, you need to start by choosing the right educational path. You can enroll in a program specifically designed to provide the necessary training and education to CNAs, moving on to an associate’s degree in nursing. Once you’ve enrolled, you’ll need to dedicate yourself to completing your education. Be prepared for clinical work and taking licensing exams. You may be working while attending school, so be ready for a busy schedule. Once you complete the program and receive your license, you’ll be able to seek out RN positions, whether through placement agencies or by finding jobs through networking.
