Firstly, test your internet connection, sound, lighting, background and camera angle in advance of the interview to make sure that it looks professional. Practice the interview with a friend or colleague and ask for feedback on your performance. Prepare questions to ask the interviewer, to show your enthusiasm and interest in the job.
Dress in the same way as if you were going to an in-person interview, as first impressions are important. Focus on the interviewer and remove all distractions, including items such as smartphones.
