When you see a nursing coworker struggling with stress, there are ways that you can step in and offer them a little help. Start by simply listening to them and allowing them to talk if they’re comfortable doing so. Just lending an ear can be a big help when a coworker is stressed. Ask what you can do to help them in the workplace, without taking on too many of their duties or being taken advantage of. They may simply be having a difficult day or week, and you can help them get through it. Offering to listen and help can make a big difference and improve everyone’s experience in the workplace.
